Let Me Introduce Myself...

Hi! My name is Quincy. I'm pleased to announce I have a new family! I'm so glad because I kind of had a "ruff" life at my old home. But now I'm getting all kinds of love from my new family. Let me see if I can remember their names...there's Shelby-she loves me and gives me all kinds of hugs and sugars. Then there's her little sister Bethany. She's sweet to me too but sometimes I just don't know what she is saying! Jennifer's the mom and Adam's the dad. I like them too. I'm glad they chose me to live with them. I am also glad I have a new friend to play chase with and take naps with. Her name is Lily and she looks a lot like me!

Pumpkin Carving

Friday night we carved the pumpkin we've had sitting on our front porch since the beginning of October. Shelby drew on the face and I cut it out. I had forgotten how hard it is to actually carve. I had every intention of having this nice, neat pumpkin face when I was done, but.... Anyway, we had fun. The insides feel so gross! All of us (except Adam) dug out the goo. We roasted the seeds. Here's some pics from the fun event:

Goofy Girl

Bethany went into Shelby's room yesterday. She was in there for a few minutes and was quiet. Should've known something was up and then she came out looking like this:

And yes, that's a sleeping mask around her neck and gloves on her feet. She was pretty proud of her fashion statement!

The Angels in Heaven Are Rejoicing!

Our prayers are answered! Shelby invited Jesus into her heart tonight and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior!

Over the past couple of years Shelby's had many questions about Jesus and the Bible and we have had many long talks with her. While we were eating dinner tonight she had some more questions. We talked and Shelby finally said, "I want to ask Jesus into my life but I don't know how." Oh my goodness... So off to church we went to talk to our Pastor. He took Shelby aside and asked her questions to determine her level of understanding. She knew that she was a sinner and the only way to get to Heaven was through Jesus. Pastor Stan wanted to pray with her and this was her little but powerful prayer, "I want to ask God into my life and I want him to know that I love him!" Wow! Adam and I couldn't be happier and I know the angels are up in heaven singing and rejoicing because Shelby belongs to Jesus!!

Pumpkin Day!

It's a beautiful day and a day for PUMPKINS! We went to Pumpkin Day at a place not too far from where we live. We all had so much fun!

The girls rode horses. Shelby rode the big horse and Bethany rode the little one.

Adam was being silly acting like he was kissing a pumpkin.

Bethany tried to pick up 2 or 3 different pumpkins but was never successful.

The girls played in the hay.

They got their faces painted with ghosts.

They played games like Toss the Beanbag into the Pumpkin.

Grammy took the girls on a hayride.

Drama Queen

Shelby participated in a Theatre Workshop last weekend and had such a good time. They spent the afternoon playing improv games, taking a tour backstage, they got to put on make-up, etc. Here's a picture of Shelby coming up out of the trap door of the stage. As you can see by her smile, she enjoyed herself very much. Is it possible we have a drama queen on our hands???

We have been having gorgeous weather here lately, well....when it's not raining anyway. It definitely is finally beginning to feel more like fall. We've had lots of opportunities to enjoy being outside since it's not so hot. We went to the park recently and I wanted to share a few pics with you.
