Shelby's Birthday Party

Gabby, Miranda, Shelby and Annabelle

When: Saturday, November 15, 2008
Time: 3:00
Where: Shelby's House

Shelby just HAD to have a Hannah Montana themed birthday party this year. She requested a rainbow birthday cake. I made lime punch (Sprite and lime sherbet), pigs in a blanket and green grapes. Shelby invited 3 of her closest friends. She had a sleepover following the party. I wasn't sure how the sleepover was going to turn out with there being 5 girls with ages ranging from 17 months to 6, but it went well. We rented Kung Fu Panda (which didn't get watched, except by Adam), the girls played and played and played and then requested to watch Cinderella III before going to bed. That seemed to settle them down. They were all actually asleep by 9 pm! Can you believe it?

It will be a very very long time before I help with another sleep over. I heard sqreaches in pitches reserved for teaching dogs to mind and do tricks.

You know there are events in life that forever change who you are as a person....this was one such event.

P.S.
The only reason I watched Kung Fu Panda is that (although in cartoon form)the Kung Fu in the movie was the only manly thing in my home at the time. I was lucky that Lifetime didn't put out kid shows, or I may not be here today.

LOL.....poor Adam....too many hormones amongst your testosterone! I am glad it went well and that Miranda was a good girl! She loved spending the night for the first time. Now, she wants to spend the night with everybody!LOL

HA! Adam's comment is so funny!
He says it will be a long time, but all it will take is Shelby or Bethany to bat her lashes at him and he will be putty in their hands. :)

Glad the party went well...looks like fun!

9:00? AMAZING!

Your poor husband. He was a trooper I'm sure. If he thinks this one was bad, he needs to wait until she wants to have one when she's 13. The squeals will reach an all time high volume and be higher pitched than even dogs care to listen to. ;-) And they'll all be squeals about boys.

9:00...that's amazing! I figured midnight or something. Guess they were all just worn out from playing so hard. Good for you guys for getting them down so early!
